Alto Pit is a great option for a camping experience in the beautiful Prescott National Forest. This is a reservable campground, so your campsite is guaranteed once booked through Recreation.gov—no searching for an open spot when you arrive!

The campground has bathrooms, picnic tables, and fire pits, plus easy access to miles of OHV and off-road trails. There are no hookups at this campground, so be sure to add our Boondocking Bundle to your trailer rental if needed.

Mt. Tritle Road & Senator Highway Dispersed Camping

Looking for FREE camping in the Prescott National Forest? This dispersed camping area near Mt. Tritle Road and Senator Highway has approximately 16 campsites surrounded by beautiful Arizona forest.

Sites are first come, first served, so a spot is not guaranteed. There are no hookups or campground facilities, making this a true off-grid camping experience. Campsites have established fire pits, and the maximum stay is 7 days.

Northern Arizona Campgrounds:

White Horse Lake Campground - Willams, Arizona RV & Camper Rentals
WHITE HORSE LAKE - WILLIAMS, AZ

Camp among the pines right by beautiful White Horse Lake in the Kaibab National Forest! This developed campground is a great option for anyone wanting a more traditional campground experience while still feeling tucked away in the forest.

White Horse Lake is especially popular for fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife watching. Deer and elk are frequently seen around the lake, and the campground sits at approximately 6,600 feet in elevation — making it a great escape from the Arizona heat.

Campsites include picnic tables, fire rings and grills, and the campground has restrooms, drinking water, trash service, and a small boat ramp. There are no RV hookups or dump station at the campground, so you'll be camping without hookups.

Many campsites can be reserved ahead of time through Recreation.gov, which means you can have your campsite secured before your trip. Some sites are first-come, first-served.

Important: Choose a campsite that can accommodate the total length of your trailer. Potable water is available for drinking, but the campground does not allow RV fresh-water tanks to be filled from its hydrants, so plan accordingly. There is also no swimming allowed in White Horse Lake.
